How not to get banned when AI commenting in Telegram

What gives automation away, what pace is safe, which comments don't get reported and what to check before launch.

Updated: 2026-10-06

The biggest fear of anyone launching AI commenting is losing an account. And it is justified: a blocked account cannot be restored, and a spam block for a few days stops all work. The good news is that most blocks come from the same mistakes — and they can be prevented in advance.

Below is what exactly gives automation away, how to set the pace and what to check before launch.

Where blocks come from

Accounts are lost for two reasons, and you need to deal with both:

  • Reports from people. Readers and channel admins report pushy, repetitive comments and comments with links. Many reports lead to a spam block.
  • Technical signals. Telegram sees how an account connects: from what address, from what "device", how often and in what rhythm it acts. Dozens of accounts from one IP or actions timed to the second look like automation.

Hence two lines of defence: the account's technical hygiene and behaviour that looks human.

Account technical hygiene

One device per account

Every time it connects, an account reports device parameters to Telegram: model, system, app version, language. If these parameters change from one connection to the next or are the same across dozens of accounts, that is suspicious. Each account should have its own persistent set of parameters — ideally the one the account was created with.

One proxy per account

Without a proxy, all accounts go online from the server's address. For Telegram that is dozens of "different people" at one computer. The most reliable rule is "one proxy — one account"; more in Proxies for Telegram accounts.

Rest and warm-up

A fresh account that starts commenting right after logging in looks unnatural. Let it rest for a few hours and get some ordinary activity: open chats, read, fill in the profile. More in Telegram account rest and warm-up.

Safe pace: how many comments per hour

A person does not comment on a post at exactly the same second after publication and does not write a hundred comments an hour. Pace settings should take this into account.

Here are the recommended settings TG Comment applies with one button ("auto settings"). They are our starting point, not a Telegram rule: start with them and don't speed up until the account has proven stable.

  • Pause between comments: random, 90 to 300 seconds.
  • Let a new post "settle": 40–90 seconds before commenting.
  • Limits: no more than 20 comments per hour and 200 per day.
  • Joining channels: a 180–300 second pause between joins and no more than 50 joins per day.
  • First comment after joining: not immediately, but after 30–120 seconds.
  • One post per visit to a channel, newest first.

The main rule is randomness. Identical intervals give automation away more than their length does.

Comments nobody reports

Technical measures won't help if the comments annoy people. A report is the fastest way to a spam block.

  • About the post. A comment should respond to this particular post, not fit under any post.
  • No links or advertising. A link in a comment is the first thing people report. They will open your profile themselves if the comment is interesting.
  • Short. One or two sentences look more natural than a long paragraph.
  • Varied. Identical phrases under different posts are obvious to readers and admins alike.
  • Only your niche. A comment about crypto under a recipe post will only get reported.

Where not to post at all

Some channels are better excluded right away than retried again and again:

  • channels where the account is already banned from the discussion chat;
  • channels with closed or paid comments;
  • channels where only group members can post and joining fails.

Every failed attempt is one more signal to Telegram. In TG Comment such channels go to a ban list automatically and are no longer used in any project.

If you get a spam block, a dead proxy or FloodWait

  • Spam block on the main account. Stop it and switch to the reserve — don't try to push through the restriction. How to check and remove a spam block — in Telegram spam block: how to check and remove it.
  • The proxy stopped responding. Stop working with that account right away: connecting without a proxy means going online from the server's address.
  • FloodWait. This is Telegram's demand to wait a certain time. Wait it out completely rather than repeating the action.

Pre-launch checklist

  • the account has its own persistent device fingerprint;
  • the account has its own working proxy;
  • the account has rested and been warmed up, the profile is filled in;
  • @SpamBot confirms there are no restrictions;
  • pauses are random, hourly and daily limits are set;
  • the prompt asks for comments about the post, without links;
  • the list contains only channels of your niche with open comments;
  • a reserve account is connected.

How TG Comment handles it

Everything on the checklist works in TG Comment by default rather than requiring manual setup:

  • an account connects only through a proxy — without a proxy the service won't start it;
  • each account has a persistent device fingerprint;
  • if a proxy stops responding, the account's operation is interrupted immediately, the project's commenting stops and the owner is notified;
  • before launch and on errors the account is checked with @SpamBot; on a spam block work moves to the reserve account;
  • pauses, limits and joining pace are set in the project settings or applied with one button;
  • channels where posting is impossible go to the ban list by themselves.
