Telegram account rest and warm-up before work

Why a new account needs rest and warm-up, in what order to prepare it and which mistakes to avoid.

Updated: 2026-10-06

An account that goes online for the first time in a long while and a minute later starts commenting in dozens of channels looks unnatural to Telegram. A real person doesn't behave like that. Rest and warm-up give the account time to look like an ordinary user before work begins.

What rest is and how long an account should rest

Rest is a pause after an account has been connected in a new place. The account just "lies still": it writes nothing, joins no channels and doesn't change its profile.

Why it matters: logging in from a new device and a new address is a noticeable event in itself. If a burst of activity follows right after, the link is obvious. If there are a few hours of silence in between, the login looks like an ordinary change of device.

How long to rest depends on how much you value the account and how "fresh" it is. The newer the account and the more is riding on it, the longer the pause: a few hours at minimum, a full day to be careful.

What Telegram account warm-up is

Warm-up is ordinary, low-key activity before work begins. The account does what any Telegram user does:

  • goes online and opens chats;
  • reads unread messages;
  • fills in the profile: first name, last name, bio, photo;
  • joins a few channels in its niche and reads them.

Warm-up should not be massive. Its point is to show normal behaviour, not to load the account with actions.

The order of preparing an account

A sensible sequence looks like this:

  • Connect the account through its own proxy.
  • Rest — a few hours without actions.
  • Profile — name, bio and photo if they are missing; also not right after logging in.
  • Warm-up — a few short sessions online with breaks in between.
  • Work — joining channels and commenting, with moderate limits for the first days.

Don't change the profile, proxy and device at the same time: each such change is noticeable on its own, and all of them together even more so.

Common mistakes

  • Straight to work. The account logged in — and immediately joined fifty channels.
  • Warm-up as a mass mailing. Hundreds of actions an hour are not warm-up but the same automation.
  • Empty profile. An account with no name or photo that writes comments raises distrust in both people and Telegram.
  • Changing everything at once. A new proxy, a new device and a new profile on the same day.

Rest and warm-up in TG Comment

In TG Comment, account preparation is built into the service:

  • Rest is started from the account card: 2, 6, 12 or 24 hours. During that time the account's session is closed, and commenting, joining channels and profile changes are blocked; when it ends, the rest is lifted automatically.
  • The preparation pipeline takes a new account through the steps: upload → rest → profile change → warm-up → ready. There are three pace modes: fast (2 hours of rest), normal (6 hours, recommended) and slow (24 hours), plus manual pause settings.
  • Warm-up before commenting — no more than once a day the account briefly goes online and reads unread messages in its recent chats, with a random start delay.
  • Warm-up channels — up to 10 per project; they can be added as a Telegram folder.
  • The AI Guardian runs in the background and now and then performs ordinary user actions — comes online, "types", reads messages, looks through contacts — so the account's activity is not limited to comments alone.
